As the booming auto industry today, Zn-Ni Plating technology becomes the market’s favorite.

Technology brings us various vehicles and electronical products with multi-functions constantly to offer convenience and fun in people’s lives. But it seems like people get higher and higher expectation to the next-new. With the unveil of new iPhone, more creation is calling to hit the world again.

Evidence says Zn-Ni alloy has higher corrosion resistance than Zinc and Cadmium, functional protective and decorative. To replace Cadmium to avoid bad sides on people and environment. To replace Zinc to get better anti-corrosion at the same 3-8μm.

Let’s talk about something of Zn-Ni alloy. It was started in 1980s, only on acid chloride plating technique. With the breakthrough of the key point, assurance of best fit to restrain Nickel deposition in low cathode current density area, it was taken in bulk production on complex steel parts since 1993, both rack and barrel. 10 thousands to 20 thousands of cable bridges have been launched into the market in almost 10 years, but only in acid plating technique.

While different technique depends on the shapes of work parts, expect for some kinds of steel, it is just like Zinc plating in acid or alkaline. As we know, in China, it accounts for more than 50% in acid Zinc plating and for 40% appr. in alkaline Zinc plating. While Zn-Ni plating is not over 10% estimated, neitheracid Zn-Ni plating nor alkaline Zn-Ni plating.

Compared with these two, the former will have 50% appr. lower cost and more than double value than the latter in the same addition, same deposit and similar corrosion resistance. 

Technique improvement leads to the further study on Zn-Ni plating, perfect deposit, stable solution, better maintenance and effective passivation. That means another huge market is to be open.

We believe, in the near future, Zn-Ni plating technology should be widely used in auto industry, electronic industry, mechanical industry, aviation or military industry.
